日日器-生活的輪廓｜The Shape of Taiwanese Living
將50組共100件的日常器物，藉由兩兩一組、今昔對照的擺放方式，促成了展覽最為核心、且希望觀眾去思考的幾個問題：
「器物為什麼演化？促成器物競相演化的因素，是物競天擇、人為創造，抑或是物的本性使然？」問題終歸一句：「器物想要什麼？」在這個「人們去設計器物，又被器物所包圍」的時代，器物得要重新設計乃至於自行演化所依據的是什麼?
「日日器」展覽，以西元2000年為切點，匯聚台灣當代新興設計)從功能精進、造型的構成，以及材質的研發，希望這些器與物，寫下一段又一段的創造進化論。
We divided a hundred of everyday stuff into two parts and arranged them as a comparison of the present and the past. This way of decoration represents the core idea of our exhibition. Moreover, we hope the audiences may start to consider a few questions:
“Why does stuff evolve?” “What is the cause of the evolution? Is it the natural selection, man-made factors? Or is it the instinct of stuff?”
All in all, we would like to ask “What does stuff wants?”
In the age of “People design stuff and surrounded by stuff” what is the basis of stuff to be re-designed and even to evolve by themselves?
The Shape of Taiwanese Living is based on A.D.2000, assembling the contemporary emerging design of Taiwan. From refining functions, constructing models to developing materials, we hope these stuff keep writing their own story of evolution and creation one paragraph after another.
